If you’ve been wondering how 3D printing with clay works and always wanted to have a go at printing your own design, come and join us for a class at our studio. In this class, you will design and print your own 3D clay objects. The workshop will cover two stages of the making process: digital design and clay printing. You will design a 3D shape using free online software, prepare the model and print it on Alterfact’s custom 3D clay printers. Alterfact artist, Lucile will help you along the way to understand what you can print, how the printers work, and how to perfect your design.

Workshops are offered to the public and can also be organised for groups. The typical group size is 6 people, but this can be increased on request. Participants must bring their own laptop (an iPad can work, but a laptop is preferable), and glazing and firing of pieces is included, with pickup of pieces 2 weeks after the workshop.
